Calling all seniors aged 55 and up! Join us for a memorable day trip to the Detroit Institute of Arts.

Hop on our FREE shuttle for an afternoon filled with soulful tunes and cultural exploration featuring a musical performance by G-Note 7 performing iconic Motown classics from the 1960s and 1970s and a self-guided museum tour. Dive into the world of art with a  stroll through the museum’s incredible exhibits!

  • Pick-up/Drop-Off Location: Front of Warren City Hall (One City Square, Warren, MI, 48093). There is free parking in the parking structure adjacent to City Hall as well as the streets surrounding City Hall.
  • Pick-Up Time at City Hall: 12:15 pm – Please plan to arrive at City Hall no later that 12:00 pm.
  • Estimated Arrival Time at DIA: 1:00 pm
  • Musical Performance: 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
  • Self-Guided Visit: 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
  • Departure from the DIA: 3:00 pm
  • Return to City Hall: 3:30 pm – 4:00 pm

Limited space is available. To secure your spot, please call the Civic Center Library at 586.751.0770. Reservations will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis, with preference given to Warren residents first.

The Area Agency on Aging 1-B will help you plan ahead by introducing different senior-care settings and options available as you age. We will explore aging in place, independent senior living, assisted living, and homes for the aged, including the differences and types of services available in each. You will get a better understanding of senior care choices and what might work for either you or a loved one. The Area Agency on Aging 1-B is a local nonprofit that has been helping seniors and their families for over 45 years.

The Warren Public Library is collaborating with the Detroit Institute of Arts for another free shuttle and trip to the museum! This trip will be available to seniors, with first preference given to residents of the City of Warren. Here are the important details:

  • Pick-up/Drop-Off Location: Front of Warren City Hall (One City Square, Warren, MI, 48093). There is free parking in the parking structure adjacent to City Hall as well as the streets surrounding City Hall.
  • Bus Arrival time at City Hall: 12:00 pm
  • Bus Departs from Warren: 12:30 pm – Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before departure time (12:15 pm or earlier.)
  • Estimated Arrival Time at DIA: 1:00 pm
  • DIA Highlights Tour: 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
  • Self-Guided Visit: 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
  • Departure from the DIA: 3:00 pm
  • Return time to City Hall: 3:30 pm
