Built.In.Detroit.Bob.MorrisPlease join us when local author Bob Morris discusses his book, Built in Detroit: A Story of the UAW, a Company, and a Gangster.

Built in Detroit is part history, part biography, and part mystery. It discusses the life of Ken Morris, Bob’s father, as he moves to Detroit in 1935 and begins working at the Briggs Manufacturing Company. It includes the early of history of the UAW, and covers such important figures as Walter & Victor Reuther and Emil Mazey. It also covers the investigation into the beatings and assassination attempts on UAW leaders in the late 1940s.
