Every Tuesday in August, 5-8 pm, Arthur Miller Library
Wednesdays, August 2 and 30, 6-7:30 pm, Dorothy Busch Branch

School age children and their families are invited to drop in at the Busch and Miller branches to explore STEAM concepts with the library’s new maker kits.

A new kit or two will be available each week for children to play, learn, and explore a different area of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art or Math. Each kit will contain a book on the subject, objects and tools for simple projects, and activities related to that kit’s STEAM topic. Stop by and try something new!

This is a drop-in program, no registration needed. Please call the Miller Library at 586.751.5377 or the Busch Library at 586.353.0580 for more information.

This project is funded (in part) with a Library Services and Technology Act grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services administered by the Library of Michigan.”

Eyes.On.YouThe Big Library Read program is back! From now through June 23rd, Warren Public Library card holders will be able to borrow and enjoy the eBook  Eyes on You by Kate White.

Eyes on You is a psychological thriller, and is perfect for those who like books by James Patterson and Janet Evanovich. It tells the story of Robin Trainor, who after a messy divorce has rebuilt her career. But then things begin to go wrong: she receives threatening notes, defaced pictures, and a doll that looks just like her—but with its eyes gouged out—left on her desk chair. Suddenly, she is in a race to find out who is doing this  and it becomes terrifyingly clear that the person responsible isn’t going to stop until Robin loses everything that matters to her . . . including her life. For a sample, click here.

If you’ve never tried downloading eBooks  from the library, now is a great time to start. They work on a variety of devices, including PCs, Macs, Kindles, Nooks, iPads, and even smartphones! The best part: there are no late fees!

You can download Eyes on You here from our eBooks site. For help with downloading eBooks, click here, or come into any branch. We hope you will take part in The Big Library Read!
