Join Terrence Shulman on Zoom for a respectful and thought- provoking presentation about hoarding. We will learn what hoarding is and isn’t, what causes it, and how to best address and treat it. Mr. Shulman is a local attorney, social worker/addictions therapist, and author specializing in assessing, treating, and educating about hoarding.

Come join us via Zoom as we welcome Michigan author Abra Berens. Ms. Berens will be discussing her first cookbook, Ruffage: A Practical Guide to Vegetables. Written from her experiences as a chef, former farmer, and everyday eater, Ruffage was named a 2020 Michigan Notable Book by the Library of Michigan.

This program will include a live talk, recipe demo, and question and answer session.

Award-winning author and pop culture historian Marty Gitlin hosts this fun, nostalgic and enlightening presentation based on his book, A Celebration of Animation: The 100 Greatest Cartoon Characters in Television History. He is the only author to actually rank the greatest cartoon characters ever, such as Popeye, Bugs Bunny, Mickey Mouse, Scooby Doo, Snoopy and SpongeBob SquarePants. He will discuss the criteria he used to rank the best of the best and speak about their impact on American pop culture. Be ready for a fun filled program!

All Warren Public Library branches are now offering Book Bundles to go. Simply give us a call and let us know the topic, genre, or author you are interested in, and the age level. Our staff will hand-pick a selection of 5 books for you, and you can pick them an hour after you call.

Imagine Your Story with this year’s Summer Reading Clubs!

Summer Reading Club is going on now and runs from Monday, June 1 – Monday, September 7. This year, all of our clubs are online. There are clubs for babies (0-2 years), children (age 3 – 2nd grade & 3rd grade – 6th grade), teen, and adults.

Signing up is simple: visit our Summer Reading Club site and create an account. As you read books this summer enter them in your reading log. The more books you read the more points you earn which gets you entries for wonderful prizes. Prizes this year include a Kindle Fire and various gift cards for adults, a Nintendo Switch or bike for teens, a Nintendo Switch or bike for kids, and stuffed animals for babies.
