JUST ADDED: LIVE MUSIC FROM BLUE SPECTRUM!

Teens from all four branches are invited for a fun and exciting night as we celebrate Summer Reading with the them of “Libraries Rock“!

Challenge your friends in the inflatable jousting arena, play video games, decorate cupcakes, enjoy pizza, snacks, music, crafts, and more. Join us and make it a blast!

No registration required. Open to those entering grades 7 through 12 with school I.D., Michigan state I.D., or driver’s license only.
Teens must arrive by 7:00 p.m.  This is a parent-free event. This program will be held in the Atrium in front of the Civic Center Library.

That Jolly Old Elf will be visiting all four branches of the Warren Public Library this December. Children are invited to stop by one of the following locations to visit with Santa.

Saturday, December 9 at 11:00 am – Burnette Branch Library
The Burnette Library will have a special story time, a craft, cookies, and of course, picture time, so be sure to bring your camera. Registration required; call 586-758-2115.

Saturday, December 9 at 2:00 pm – Civic Center Library
Drop in at the Civic Center Library to make crafts and visit with a very special guest, Santa! Drop-in program, no registration required; call 586-751-0770 for information.

Saturday, December 16 at 12:00 pm  – Miller Branch Library
Visit with Santa at the Miller Library and also enjoy a story, make a craft and decorate a cookie. Registration required; call 586-751-5377 or register online.

Friday, October 27, 6-8 pm, Arthur Miller Library

Edgar Allen Poe died of slightly mysterious circumstances on October 7 in 1849. To celebrate the life and works of the father of the gothic horror story, tweens and teens are invited to come in for a special Halloween library lock-in with ravens, the red death, and tell-tale heart games, crafts, and treats. Costumes encouraged!

Every Tuesday in August, 5-8 pm, Arthur Miller Library
Wednesdays, August 2 and 30, 6-7:30 pm, Dorothy Busch Branch

School age children and their families are invited to drop in at the Busch and Miller branches to explore STEAM concepts with the library’s new maker kits.

A new kit or two will be available each week for children to play, learn, and explore a different area of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art or Math. Each kit will contain a book on the subject, objects and tools for simple projects, and activities related to that kit’s STEAM topic. Stop by and try something new!

Ever play the board game Mouse Trap? That’s a type of Rube Goldberg Machine!

To celebrate the end of summer reading, teens are welcome to join us at the Warren Public Library’s Summer Finale Lock-in at the Miller Branch to build one themselves. Teens will have free run of the library after hours to build Rube Goldberg-like chain reaction machines with items provided by Thumble Makerspace. They will supply tubes, tracks, Q-Ba Maze marble run, and their box of bots & props to help create amazing contraptions that will do…something!

Ages 12-17. This is a parent-free, after hours event. Pizza, pop, and snacks will be served.
