The Warren Public Library is kicking off summer with an outdoor party for tweens and teens outside the Miller Branch Library.

Teens and tweens from all four library branches are invited to Party in the Park with a variety of yard games, a water blaster battle, DIY tie dye, ice cream floats, pizza, and more!

Ages 10-17. This is a parent-free, outdoor, after-hours event. Attendance is free, but registration is required. To register or for more information, please call 586.751.5377 or sign up online.

Covid safety protocols will be in place and masks will be required. Please bring a white t-shirt to tie dye. Bring a blanket or beach towel for socially distanced seating.

This meet up will take place in the Community Center Pavilion at the West soccer field near the Arthur Miller Library.

Kits can be reserved now; pickups begin April 12

All four Warren Public Library locations have free books and a craft available for children to celebrate $mart Money MI Kids Read! Each kit will contain a money-specific craft and one or more free books. They are available while supplies last. This program is sponsored by Michigan Credit Union Foundation and Extra Credit Union.

Warren cardholders will be given priority when registering for programs. Non-residents will be placed on a waiting list and will be contacted if space is available. Register at one of the locations below.

Civic Center Library: Call 586.751.0770 to register children in grades K-5 to receive a ceramic bank with paint and free books. You can also register online.

Burnette Branch: Children ages 3-9 can pick up a free book and piggy bank craft. Call 586.353.0579 if you have any questions. No registration is required.

Busch Branch: Call 586.353.0580 to register children ages 3-9 to receive a craft, an activity sheet, and a free children’s book. You can also register online.

Miller Branch: Call 586.751.5377 to register children in grades K-3 to receive a free book and bank craft. You can also register online.

Do you have a Kindle, smartphone, or tablet? If so, plan on attending our Get to Know eBooks and OverDrive class to discover how to take the library with you on your mobile device.

You will learn how easy it is to check out, read and listen to, and return eBooks and audiobooks from the library. You will never be stuck without a great read!

Join Terrence Shulman on Zoom for a respectful and thought- provoking presentation about hoarding. We will learn what hoarding is and isn’t, what causes it, and how to best address and treat it. Mr. Shulman is a local attorney, social worker/addictions therapist, and author specializing in assessing, treating, and educating about hoarding.

All Warren Public Libraries will be reopening on March 1, 2021 for public service. Covid-19 procedures as established in 2020-2021 will be required, including temperature checks and building entry screening questionnaires. Masks must be worn at all times while in the library. Computer stations will be sanitized after each use.

Duration of time for patrons in the library will be 90 minutes total, including faxing, printing, browsing, reference, interlibrary loan of materials, item checkout, and computer use. Computer use is limited to 60 minutes.

Curbside pickup will be available upon request, for the elderly and persons with disabilities.

Reservations will not be accepted for study rooms and conference rooms until further notice.

Library programs will continue to be conducted virtually.
