Michigan Notable Book award recipient Sarah Zachrich Jeng will be visiting the Civic Center Library to discuss her award-winning novel The Other Me

This unpredictable sci-fi thriller begins when a failed artist accidentally opens a door to an alternate reality where she never pursued her dreams and must uncover the forces behind the switch before time runs out. Library Journal calls The Other Me a “page-turner”. CrimeReads says The Other Me is “both a suspenseful psychological thriller and an astute reinvention of the time travel narrative.”

Don’t miss your chance to meet Sarah Zachrich Jeng, who Booklist says is “a writer to watch very closely”! A question-and-answer session will follow a selected reading by the author.  Refreshments will be served and copies of the book will be available for purchase.

Registration is required. You can register online or by calling 586.751.0770. You can read a sample of The Other Me here.

Tuesday, April 12, 6 pm, Miller Library

Five time winner of the National Morel Hunting Championship Anthony Williams will be at the Miller Library to give tips on where to find and how to pick morels.

Morels are wild mushrooms foraged from wooded areas during the spring months, usually March to June. When cooked, they have a delicate, nutty flavor. Because morels are foraged and have a short season, they can be hard to find, and when you do, they are often expensive, sometimes $20 to $30 per pound.

Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a first time picker, you’re bound to find a new perspective to gathering the illusive morel mushroom!

Registration is required. Register here.
