Join us as we celebrate March is Reading Month featuring this year’s Ready to Read Michigan book, I Got the Rhythm!

Children ages birth through five can join us for a special musical storytime featuring the picture book I Got the Rhythm by Connie Schofield-Morrison. Children will hear stories, sing songs, and play instruments, and make a craft.

Join us and renowned special guest, Beverly Meyer, The Music Lady, for a special reading of Connie Schofield-Morrison’s book I Got the Rhythm. On a simple trip to the park, the joy of music overtakes a mother and daughter. They hear a rhythm coming from the world around and can’t help but break into song and dance. We’ll have our very own dance party here at the library, too!

During the endless winter nights of Michigan long ago, the French settlers had to find ways to entertain themselves.  Genot “White Elk” Picor, with the help of a fiddler, recreates a French winter celebration.  Prepare to hoot, holler, clap, laugh aloud and join in the festivities during an evening of storytelling and music.  Ages 6 to Adult.  Registration is requested for this event.  Register online, in person, or call 586- 574-4564.
