Join us after-hours for a summer-camp themed event at the Burnette Library. We’ll make s’mores, compete in some relay-races, paint rocks, make rexlace keychains, and more.

Children ages 3-9 can stop by any Warren Public Library branch to pick up seeds to plant vegetables or flowers in their gardens at home. Seeds provided by a generous donation from Gro-Town. (While supplies last, child must be present).

Please join us for an informative seminar with Andrea Moon, Chief Instructor of the Metro Michigan Shotokan Karate School, to give you techniques to protect yourself from danger. Participants will work with partners as attacker and defender to learn a variety of self-defense techniques. Please wear loose fitting clothing, no jewelry, hair tied back.

This program will take place in the Burnette Library’s community room and is open to adults ages 17+ only. Priority will be given to Warren residents.

Come out to Cruisin’ 53 and join the library as we celebrate the first day of Summer Reading Club. Join us on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at both the Maybelle Burnette Branch and Civic Center Library for lots of family fun activities.

The Burnette Library will be having a used book sale from the Friends of the Warren Public Library from 12:00-4:00 PM, Rosco’s Silly Magic Show at 12:30 PM, balloon animals, a prize wheel for kids, and summer reading club sign-up. Civic Center South events will include a car show, bounce house, live music, food, and more just outside the Burnette Library.

Saturday, June 3, 2023, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, Warren Civic Center Library

The Civic Center Library will host the Howell Nature Center Spirit of Alexandria Nature Bus from 2:00-3:30 PM where you can learn about the creatures that come out at night, meet nocturnal animals, and learn about their adaptations for living in the dark through hands-on inquiry-based methods. The library will also have summer reading club sign-up, a prize wheel for kids, crafts, and treats available.
