Pam Flowers is the award-winning author of five books, including Alone Across the Arctic, an account of her 2,500 mile solo dog sled trek across Arctic America. Alone Across the Arctic received the Benjamin Franklin Award as well as a starred review in School Library Journal.

Please join us as Ms. Flowers presents her incredible story of sledding alone with her eight-dog team. She will discuss the native culture of the arctic, perseverance when things go wrong, manners and courtesy (even sled dogs need manners!), and much more.

This all-ages program will be held in the conference room next to the Civic Center Library. Books will be available for purchase. Registration is required for this program. Please call 586.574.4564 to register.
