We are pleased to announce a new database offering through the Warren Public Library: Historic Map Works Library Edition.

Historic Map Works Library Edition features over 1.5 million high-resolution, full color historic maps from throughout the world. It offers property maps from throughout the United States going back to the late 1700’s, antique maps from the 15th – 19th centuries covering the world, and data from historic city directories.  Features like image previews, zoom in/out, and image cropping make reviewing and using the maps easy

One of the more interesting features of Historic Map Works Library Edition is the ability to compare a modern Google map to the historic map you are viewing. Using this feature, you can see changes to an area over time.

Give Historic Map Works Library Edition a try by clicking here, or by accessing our databases through the Research tab above. You will need a Warren Public Library card to access this database.
