JapanThe U.S. response to Japanese expansionism in China, S.E. Asia, and the Pacific resulted in the firebombing of virtually all of Japan’s cities. Despite the destruction, the Japanese government refused to surrender. President Truman ordered the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, causing the surrender of Japan and the end of World War II in the Pacific. Military historian Professor Don Borsand will join us  to present on these historic events.
