FlashFiction

Join us as we again welcome Gloria Nixon-John, author and teacher, to the Civic Center Library. During this workshop, Ms. Nixon-John will discuss what flash fiction is, why flash fiction is catching on, why it is a worthwhile form that challenges the writer as well as amuses the reader, and publishing opportunities for flash fiction.

Ms. Nixon-John will show you how to create flash fiction from bits of what you already have, or from scratch. This workshop is for beginners as well as seasoned writers. It will delve into both the structure and craft of flash fiction. Poets, essayists, memoirists, fiction, and non-fiction writers alike will benefit from this workshop.
